PB & J Quinoa and Look at my garden grow



Pre-Run Breakfast
Peanut Butter and Jam Breakfast Quinoa



Peanut Butter and Jam Breakfast Quinoa
Great alternative to Oatmeal
1 Cup Unsweetened Almond Milk
2 Teaspoons PB2
1 Teaspoon Ground Flax/Chia Mix
1 Teaspoon Hemp Hearts
Combine together in pot on medium high heat
add
1/3 Cup COOKED quinoa
1/2 Teaspoon Vanilla
A couple drops liquid Stevia
Cook until desired consistence, stirring a lot
Top with 1 Tablespoon low sugar jam of choice (I used a organic black current jam)


SOOO Good! And So filling! I didn't even eat it all!
The weather here in the GTA has been yucky at best....Cold and Rainy
It is a bit breezy this morning but overall not too bad......I am going to go for a 5k run......I would like to do more but I lost so much cardio this winter I am increasing slowly. My longest run this year so far is only 8km.....sad
It is going to take a lot of hard work to get back.
I just couldn't stomach the treadmill much this winter....So instead I focused on weight training 3-5 times a week. So hence why my body feels like it wants to run faster and longer, just cardio wise I am not there yet...... sigh

Is winter finaly done? Garden started and running outside again!!!! Finally!


Last weekend was beautiful! Like 20C beautiful! I ran outside Saturday (5.5km )and Sunday (7km)! Amazing.....Not the run...the weather.....I suck.....I know I shouldn't say that but its true.....
6 Months of snow and my loathing of the treadmill makes for a slow chickie!
Like a minute slower per Km slow......ugh......
Sundays run was better.....An improvement from the day before....So I am hopeful.....
I have been obsessed with goodlife body pump classes....doing them 3-5 times a week (yeah yeah I know.....too many a week) But I have to do something as the treadmill is close to getting a cap popped in it.......I have been pretty good about the stair master too....So I feel strong.....It is just my cardio that has severely suffered......hoping to get that back fast!
Monday it was nice again...Then just case she is Jerk like that Mother Nature dumped another snowfall and sub 0 temperatures on us on Tuesday! WTF

It is jus starting to warm back up today.....
Tomorrow I will be going for a trail run with Kelly.....Aiming for 8km
I lost the charger for my garmin when I moved so Kelly gave me hers.....she lost her garmin....
So I can pace properly tomorrow...I have been using an app on my iphone and I hate it.....

Sunday I started my seeds for the garden! And last night I spotted the first sprout! So excited!
I started corn, snow peas, habanero peppers, sweet peppers, green onions, heirloom tomatoes, zucchini, squash, candy cane beets and carrots.



Cute isn't it!!!!

Now lets talk about this deliciousness in a bowl!
