New Cupcakes

Ray had a staff meeting for his unit the other day and wanted to bring in some cupcakes. I made 2 new flavours-But turned out great!
These are Fresh Lemon Cupcakes cored and stuffed with a yummy Lemon Curd-with a Fresh Raspberry Butter Cream Icing (no artificial flavours)-Had a couple people ask for the recipe for this one already!
and

A Chocolate Cupcake with a swirled White Chocolate Cream Cheese Icing and a Nutella Cream Cheese Icing-I like how they look like that mixed soft serve ice cream that I used to get.
Today I have to come up with 2 more new flavours-I will put up the pics later today!

I just read your post on your hair problems - you poor woman!!! In the end, it looks great, but I would imagine it was quite traumatic!

Do you have a basic buttercream recipe you use? Are you willing to share it? I have to use very basic ingredients to make mine - no Betty Crocker here (well, there is, but it's $8 per container!).

I made maple cupcakes with a basic vanilla buttercream on the weekend (and discovered a recipe for maple cream cheese frosting after the fact). The maple cupcakes were good - they sort of tasted like pancakes and maple syrup together -yum!

The idea of a Nutella cream cheese recipe intrigues me...
